Basic Lessons I Taught in Writing an Academic Essay

As a high school teacher for students in years 10 and 11 levels, I always made an effort to prepare my students for university or college life by teaching them some basic lessons on various academic writing task that they would in higher education, including differences in academic essay writing in higher education in relation to essay writing tasks they performed in their youth. In my lesson of the academic essay writing in higher education, I discussed the general aspects of the university or college essay.

I told my students, making an academic overview essay is crucial as it would implement their ideas, issues and arguments that would be included in the actual test, they wrote. Each paragraph in the introduction, body and conclusion must be organized and have a constant flow of reading. Another important lesson I told them they must develop their skills for proofreading and editing text, or the first works of their trials. I explained that to be effective in the proofreading and editing, as it would allow them to reach the final of their academic essays are of high quality and well written, so they are ready for submission to their teachers . Proofreading and revision of an academic essay, I told them they must be sure that the document is free of errors in grammar and spelling, punctuation, and make sure that the facts and to other information in the essay is true and updated.
